RITE OF WELCOME We are privileged today to welcome Martha and Desmond into our community. this is a step towards their full initiation into the Church. Please keep all who are on this journey in your prayers.

FIRST COMMUNION PRERPARATION Theme "Sharing". Jesus gives himself to us when we share with one another. A poignant example of sharing is offered in the story of the feeding of the 5,000. A boy willingly gives the little bit of food that he has with him, even though it seems pointless in terms of the size of the crowd. Jesus gives thanks to God, and in his hands the boy's insignificant gift becomes all that is needed, and more. During the celebration of Mass. the gifts of bread and wine are prepared, and the celebrant prays over them asking God that they become our nourishment, the bread of life. During the dialogue which opens the Eucharistic Prayer, we join with the celebrant in giving thanks for the love God shares with us as family, in this dialogue we are reminded of our close union with the priest and with one another as we thank the Father through Jesus.
