FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION: Theme 'Forgiving'. The children have been looking at the story of Zacchaeus and focusing on the Penetential Rite withing the Mass. Today at the 11am Mass we pray especially for the children.

ADVENT REFLECTION: You are invited to an afternoon led by Sr Cecilia, IBVM today (Sunday) 2-6pm in the Upper Room. A donation of £5 is requested to cover expenses.

BAPTISM CONGRATULATIONS : We welcome Kerensa Faith Tereszczak and her brother Tristan Benedict, Phoebe Elizabeth Rylatt and Anna Tighe into our parish community. Please keep all these new members and their families in your prayers.

BISHOP JOHN meets with the young people (13+) of the Central Vicariate at English Martyrs on Thursday 5 December, 7-9pm.

PRIESTS TRAINING FUND : A retiring collection will be taken next weekend to help finance our four Diocesan students.

ASCENT (an International movement for Christians of 50 years plus). The next meeting of the City Centre Group is Wednesday 29 January, 12.45 - 3pm in the Upper Room. Those people who would like to attend the Christmas Lunch on Tuesday 14 January at the Jacobean, are asked to please ring the rectory to put their names on the list.

ADVENT CELEBRATION of the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the York Pastoral Area takes place on Saturday 21 December, 2.30pm here at St Wilfrid's. The Priests of the Pastoral Area will be available to hear Confessions
