Day of Reconciliation (Confessions)
Next Saturday (8 March) Confessions will be heard from 10.00am - 4.00pm here at St Wilfrid's. This is an opportunity to avail of the Sacrament and a wonderful way of preparing for Easter. Please see the list in the porch of the priests and the times they will be available.

Good Friday Ecumenical Service - 21 March, 7.30pm in York Minster. Preceded by silent witness at Parliament Street Fountain 3.00pm - 5.00pm. The procession of witness to the Minster starts at 7.00pm from the Fountain. Please see poster for further details.
BISHOP DRAINEY visited St Wilfrid's for the first time on Thursday. Thanks for the warm welcome you gave to our chief teacher and shepherd. Also, thanks to all the people who provided the hospitality in the Upper Room.
FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION : Today at our 11.00am Mass the children celebrate the theme of 'Sharing'
CONFIRMATION PREPARATION: Our young people meet again on Thursday 6 March at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. The Bishop is coming to confer the Sacrament on Wednesday 14 May at

MINISTERS OF WORD AND COMMUNION: If you are available for Holy Week and Easter ministry please put your name on the list in the porch.
PARISH FINANCE: Thanks to those who responded to the recent appeal to go on regular giving to the Church. Copies of the recent letter are available in the porch. The retiring collection which has been very helpful to the Church is discontinued - the Finance Committee agreed that this collection be taken from Easter to October.
MANY THANKS to the people who have recently given generous donations to the Church.
ST PATRICK'S DAY this year will be celebrated here at St Wilfrid's with Mass on Friday 14 March at 12.10pm and afterwards refreshments and music in the Upper Room.. All welcome. Because the 17th falls within Holy Week the feast is brought forward this year.
