PREPARATION FOR HOLY WEEK AND EASTER

MINISTERS OF WORD All are invited to come along on Thursday next (6 April) at 7.30pm to practice for our Passion Sunday Liturgies.

Those taking part in our Holy Thursday and Good Friday Services are asked to come together on Wednesday 12 April at 7.30pm and 8.00pm. Easter Vigil readers meet on Monday 10 April at 7.30pm - please see notice board to check your readings.

MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION - please check the list in the porch for the Triduum Services you are involved in. The Renewal of Commitment takes place for all Ministers at the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday - 7.30pm.

SINGING Please come along on the next two Monday evenings to practise our singing for Easter. We gather in the Upper Room at 7.30pm to 8.15pm - hope you can make it

CHRISM MASS Tuesday 11 April, 12noon at the Cathedral, Middlesbrough. The coach (now fully booked) will be leaving from the Memorial Gardens at 9.30am. Cost £5 - please put your payment in an envelope with your name on and leave in Sacristy/Rectory.

DIOCESAN PASTORAL REORGANISATION CONSULTATION PROCESS Monday 3 April 7.30pm in the Upper Room. This is an additional meeting to compete the agenda

A FOND FAREWELL to Filomena (East Timor), Orlando (Cuba), and Irene (Philippines) who have been worshipping here with us for the last few months while studying in York. There term has now come to an end and they return home this week. We thank your for joining us here at St Wilfrid's and wish you every blessing in the years ahead.

OFFERTORY ENVELOPES for 2006/2007 are available in the Baptistry today. If you would like to make your contribution to the Church through the envelope system please put your name and address on the list provided in the Baptistry.

GIFT AID The parish receives more than £500 in the loose plate nearly every week. This is a great help to the parish but if you pay tax you could sign a Gift Aid Form as it enables the church to claim an extra 28p in each £1 from the Inland Revenue. Please consider this and help the Church by putting your name down today.

CANON MICHAEL'S RUBY JUBILEE - Monday 12 June Concelebrated Mass at 7.00pm, followed by refreshments. Two marquees have now been booked. More details next week.

INDIA PROJECT The box is on the 'gifts' table today for the proceeds of our fasting.

NICHOLAS THORNE one of our young parishioners will be spending six months in Burkina Paso after his A-levels doing voluntary work in schools and a cooperative in Onagadongou. To raise fluids for his work Nicholas is doing a 280 mile cycle ride on 20/21 Apr Please support him by signing up today - form in church porch.

PILGRIMAGE TO HOLY ISLAND with CAFOD - Saturday 17 June 2006. Coach leaves York 6.30am leaving Holy Island at 5.30pm. Book and pay by Wed. 5 April. Contact 764291.
