QUEEN ELIZABETH'S GOLDEN JUBILEE We congratulate our Queen who has served the nation so generously over 50 years. We pray for her especially today and wish her health and happiness for the future. The 11am Mass is being offered for her.

CONFIRMATION PREPARATION We next meet on Wednesday 5 June at 7pm in the Rectory to prepare for Wednesday 19 June when the Sacrament will be celebrated at English Martyrs Church at 7pm. Please support our young people by your prayer and attendance on the night. This is a special time for the parish. We are all invited to be involved. There will be a music practice on Sunday 9 June after the evening Mass at English Martyrs. Please come along and bring your instruments.

LOURDES Our pilgrims have returned from Lourdes after a week of prayer and celebration. Please continue to pray for the sick in our City and Diocese.

BISHOP AUGUSTINE HARRIS We are all invited to celebrate with Bishop Harris on the occasion of his Diamond Jubilee of Priesthood. Concelebrated Mass takes place at 7pm in the Cathedral Middlesbrough on Thursday 6 June Refreshments will be available in the marquee after Mass. A coach will leave the Memorial Gardens at 4.30pm Cost £5. If you would like to book a seat on the coach please put your name on the list in church porch or telephone 624767.

CONGRATULATIONS to Harriet Rachel Smith who is being baptised today at the 11am Mass. Give her and her family a big welcome into our Community.

SOCIAL EVENT : Thanks to all who contributed to the success of our gathering in the Groves Club on Friday. Lots of Tombola prizes were received. Thanks for attending on the night and helping in different ways. A special word of thanks to Mary Breslin who hosted us and whose idea it was.
