TODAY IS DAY OF LIFE when we celebrate the life and presence of disabled people in the Church and in society today. It is also to promote a more just and humane society in which all can reach theft full potential.

PASTORAL PLAN - Creating Sustainable and Evangelising Parishes: Today we have a Pastoral Letter from Bishop John on the Pastoral Plan for the Diocese.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION 2007 - A meeting for parents who feel that their children are ready to prepare for First Communion takes place on Thursday 13 July, 7.30pm in the Upper Room - entrance through the car park at side of Church.

BECOMING A CATHOLIC If you are not already a member of the Catholic Church and would like to explore the possibility of becoming one, a meeting with me, Canon Michael, will take place in the Upper Room on Thursday 20 July at 7.30pm. If you know of anyone who is interested in becoming a Catholic please let them know about this meeting.

IRISH NIGHT - Friday 7 July, 8.00pm at the Groves Club. Tickets £3 from St Wilfrid's Church or Margaret Walsh, 424053. Organised by Parishioners of St Aelred's for St Wilfrid's Building Fund.

PARISH FORUM - Tuesday 18 July 7.30 - 900pm in the Upper Room. This change of day gives those who find Sunday afternoons inconvenient, an opportunity to participate. The Forum is a way of dialogue between priest and parishioners which is available to us three or four times a year. If you have an item for the Agenda please hand it in by Friday 14 July.

AUTUMN FAYRE Sunday 15 October 12 midday - 4pm. Meeting Monday 24 July 7.30pm.

SPRINGBOARD - Sunday 9 July at Ampleforth, starting with Mass at midday. All the usual activities - five a side, outdoor informal games of football, tennis, cricket, barbeque and disco, ending at 6.00pm.

POSTGATE RALLY - Today (Sunday 2 July) at St Anne's, Ugthorpe. Mass 3.00pm.

THE BIG BREW - Saturday 8 July. A warm welcome and a Fairtrade cuppa. Pop into any church in York where you see THE BIG BREW advertised.

SEA SUNDAY - next weekend a retiring collection will be taken for the Apostleship of the Sea.

CLOSING MEETING OF JUBILEE CELEBRATION - Wednesday 12 July, 7.30pm in the Sacristy. All welcome.

CALLED TO TREK - a walk for vocations, Sunday 6 August to Saturday 12 August. We are all asked to pray especially for vocations during these days but if you would like to also take past in the walk, either for the week or just a day, please see the notice in the porch for details.

CAFOD - a letter has been received thanking St Wilfrid's Parish for our Lenten donation of £1867.20 (includes Lent Fast Day and Friday Lenten Lunches).
