BANGLADESH CYCLONE EMERGENCY APPEAL: More than 5 million people are in urgent need of food, safe water and shelter after Cyclone Sidr ravaged communities along Bangladesh's southern coast. The situation is critical. CAFOD has been working in Bangladesh for more than 20 years, supporting local organisations who are already on the ground responding to this disaster. With our support they will reach more people who are in desperate need of help. A retiring collection will be taken next weekend. CAFOD gift aid envelopes are available from the porch.

NEW BISHOP OF MIDDLESBROUGH: Mgr Terence Patrick Drainey, President of Ushaw College has been appointed by Pope Benedict XVI. He will receive Episcopal ordination on Friday 25 January 2008 at 12 noon in St Mary's Cathedral Middlesbrough. He asks for your prayer support.
PARISH FORUM: Our next meeting is today (Sunday) 3.30-5pm in the Upper Room
LITURGY OF THE WORD WITH CHILDREN: A meeting for all involved, or who would like to be, takes place on Thursday 6 December, 7.30pm in the Upper Room.
MINISTERS OF WORD AND COMMUNION: If you are available for Christmas ministry please put your name on the list in the Church porch as soon as possible.
CHURCH REPAIRS: The topmost circular window on the front of the building is causing serious concern. The horizontal pillars are eroding and have to be replaced as a matter of urgency. It is hoped that this work will be finished in time for Christmas.
YOUTH SUNDAY: Congratulations and thanks to the young people who so wholeheartedly participated in last Sunday's 11.00am Mass. The Church looks confidently to the future!
WORLD YOUTH DAY - SYDNEY JULY 08: Thanks to the many people who have been raising money to send Olga and Megan to this great event. Saturday Refreshments £263.28; Youth Sunday Collection £203.54 and the young people themselves raised £71.51 at last Sunday's coffee morning.
COFFEE TODAY and refreshments after the 11.00am Mass will be served by the Filipino community and donations go to the World Youth Day Fund. Please come and support.
