BAPTISM PREPARATION If you have a child for Baptism a one session course will take place on Saturday 16 June 2 - 3.30pm in the Upper Room. Please speak to Canon Michael if attending
FIRST COMMUNION It is you, the faith community that welcomes these children to the table of the Lord as you once welcomed them into the community through Baptism. We thank you for helping them to grow in their faith by your word and example. Let us continue to pray for them and their families. They will receive the Lord for the first time in the Eucharist at the 11.00am Mass on Sunday 10 June.
CONFIRMATION PREPARATION The young people meet on Thursday 7 June at 7.30pm.
THE WORK ON THE SANCTUARY We now await the installation of the new altar and ambo. Weekday Mass will be celebrated at the usual times in The Sacred Heart Chapel. The Church remains open for private prayer as usual.
Thanks to all who cleaned the Church last weekend - hope you can make it for the next few weeks. The cost of the current work will be approximately £70,000.
MISSION APPEAL Fr Tom McNamara has written to thank all who contributed to the collection for the Missions last weekend - a total of £594.68 was donated.
DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES The pilgrims have returned safely having prayed for the needs of the Church and the World. Mgt. Gerard Dasey was the leader of the pilgrimage as he has the role of Diocesan Administrator until we get a new Bishop.
LIFE TO THE FULL: SPRINGBOARD 2007 Our Diocesan Youth Festival is at Ampleforth College on July 8 - more details later.
A CEILIDH will be held on Saturday 16 June in St Wilfrid's School Hall, Our compere will be Ellie Fiorentini of Radio York, music by Celtic Blend, singer Padraig Wallace, Irish Dancing by the children of the Riley School of Dancing, Tickets £5 available from Church porch. CELEBRATION OF PRIESTHOOD This annual Mass takes place on Sunday 17 June at 5pm in the Cathedral. Middlesbrough. All welcome.
