ANOINTING OF THE SICK Today at our 11am Mass we celebrate the Anointing of the Sick of our parish. This is an opportunity for the whole parish to be involved in the ministry to our sick brothers and sisters. Anyone who is seriously ill is welcome to come forward to receive this sacrament. Please keep them in your prayers.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION Our first theme is 'Celebrating'. We started our preparation with the Parents Meeting; the children gather on Saturday 9 November I0am-11am in the Upper Room and we have the parish celebration on Sunday 17 November at 11am.

RCIA - Journey in Faith meetings for people who are considering becoming Catholics take place on Tuesdays at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. All welcome.

DIOCESAN CATECHISTS COURSE 2003/4 - a part-time course, over four terms, designed to help lay people deepen their understanding of what it is to be a faithful and responsible member of the Church, and develop their gifts and the confidence to use them in partnership with priests and people. Further information and application forms from the Rectory.

NOVEMBER HOLY SOULS envelopes are available at the back of Church. Mass will be celebrated every day during November for those on the list. Please place the names of the deceased and your offering in the envelope.

YOUTH SUNDAY - Feast of Christ the King, 24 November. The young people of the Diocese are invited to a gathering at Sacred Heart Church, Middlesbrough for Mass at 2.30pm followed by Disco finishing at 7pm. Please see noticeboard.

ADVENT REFLECTION led by Sr Cecilia, Sun 1 Dec. 2-6pm in Upper Room. ASCENT (an International movement for Christians of 50 years plus). Almost 20 people attended the meeting here on Wednesday last and expressed interest in meeting on the last Wednesday of each month - 12.45 - 3pm in Upper Room.

CHRISTMAS DRAW - tickets will be available next week. We are appealing for prizes - Christmas Cake, bottles of wines/spirits; biscuits, chocolates and toys and of course any help towards the first prize. Please see list in porch.

ST LEONARDS HOSPICE are seeking to recruit a Chaplaincy Co-ordinator for 16-20 hours per week. For further information please see noticeboard in porch.

HUNDRED CLUB drawn today. There are six spare numbers. Why not give it a go! Stake £5 per month (£60 for the year). Application forms are in the porch.
