BISHOP JOHN It is with sadness that we announce that Pope Benedict has accepted Bishop John resignation as Bishop of our Diocese due to ill health. We thank Bishop John for his generous and loving service to the Diocese over the past 14 years. Please remember him and all in leadership positions in the Church. A letter from Bishop John will be read in all Churches throughout the Diocese today.

DARFUR AND CHAD EMERGENCY APPEAL As the ongoing crisis in Sudan is getting much worse and is now spreading into neighbouring Chad, the number of people in desperate need increases. To help CAFOD in their work in this region a retiring collection will be taken next weekend.
