PROCLAIMING GOD'S WORD Our Wednesday evening meetings for Ministers of the Word will take a break until Wednesday 6 September.

LAY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION - annual Study Day, Saturday 23 September at the Conference Hall, Askham Bryan College. Further details of this and your new rota can be collected today from the table in the annexe.

HOLY DAYS OF OBLIGATION The Bishops of England and Wales have decided to transfer to Sunday those Holy Days of Obligation which are Solemnities of the Lord (other than Christmas Day). This means that the Epiphany the Ascension of the Lord and Corpus Christi will now be celebrated on Sunday. These changes take effect on 3 December 2006, the First Sunday of Advent. The current practice is retained with regard to other Holy Days of Obligation.
