THANKS: While I was in Ireland for my mother's last days, and her funeral on Easter Monday I felt the powerful support of your prayer and I am deeply grateful. Thanks also for your Mass cards and expressions of sympathy. It was wonderful to hear how the parish ticked over during my absence - thanks to our Dean, Canon Harney and a special word of gratitude to Fr Tom Mylod who presided over the Triduum services and to all who prepared and celebrated the Easter Mystery.

GOSPEL CHALLENGE WEEKEND - Friday 17 - Sunday 19 May. This is an invitation to all members of the parish who would like to come and reflect on the Gospel and its impact on us today. Booking forms available from the porch.

PARISH FINANCE: The envelopes for your weekly giving for the running of the Parish are available today in the porch. They start today - 7 April. This is the time of year when you may consider increasing your contribution to the Church. If you are not already committed to the parish in this way and would like to be, please complete a Gift Aid Enquiry Form and pass it on to Canon Michael.

THE NEW BUILDING is now open and the toilets etc. are in use. The stair liftshould be installed in the near future. Please feel free to have a look around

LITURGY PREPARATION for May takes place on Thursday 11 April at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. All welcome.

HOUSE GROUP - Tuesday 9 April at 33 Middlethorpe Drive, Tadcaster Road.at 8pm. All welcome.

RCIA GROUP meets again on Tuesday 16 April at 7.30pm in the Rectory.

MINISTERS OF THE WORD - meeting for those reading next Sunday takes place on Wednesday at 8pm in the Sacristy.

LONDON MARATHON : Jemy Jose, a parishioner, has entered this year to help raise funds for the Church Refurbishment. Sponsor forms available as you leave Church today - please sign up and support Jemy.

SOCIAL EVENT in Rectory Friday 18 April at 7pm. Tombola prizes needed - can you help? A meeting for all who would like to help takes place on Wednesday next (10 April) at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. All welcome.

THE SVP wish to thank all who contributed to the collection taken on Holy Thursday - a total of £122.30 was raised.

100 CLUB: Drawn today in the Upper Room after the 11.00am Mass.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY: Service at St Joseph's Church, Burdyke Avenue on 7 April at 3.00pm. Refreshments available afterwards.

JUST 10 - inviting people outside the Church to consider the Christian message based on the relevance of the 10 Commandments today. 10 Evenings over 10 weeks on the 10 Commandments. Apr-May-June 2002 in York Minister.

YORK ASCENT GROUP meets again on Tuesday 9 April, 2pm-4pm in Our Lady's Parish Centre. All in their middle and later years most welcome.
