FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION: We start our preparation for 2009 this week. The first of our nine themes is 'Celebrating'. Each theme is centred on a specific action in family living, in the life of Jesus, and in a particular part of the Mass. The action of 'Celebrating' is related in the story of the Wedding Feast at Cana. When we gather as the family of God, we celebrate and praise God.

WELCOMING PEOPLE INTO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH: A meeting for all Catholics who would like to be involved in supporting the people who are thinking about joining the Church will be held on Tuesday 9 September at 7.30pm in the Upper Room.
MINISTERS OF THE WORD: We will reassemble with a gathering for all Readers on Wednesday 10 September from 7.00pm - 9.00pm in the Upper Room.
BAPTISM PREPARATION: If you have a child for baptism you are invited to a three session course to take place on Saturdays 4,11and 18 October in the Upper Room 2-3.30pm. Please let Canon Michael know if you wish to attend.
PARISH FORUM: Sunday 14 September, 3.30pm - 5.00pm in the Upper Room. If you have any items for the agenda please hand them in before Sunday 14 September.
APF RED MISSION BOXES: Pat and Ernie will be collecting the contents of our boxes today.

CATECHESIS - VISION AND REALITY, Saturday 11 October at English Martyrs Hall, Dalton Terrace, commencing at 10.30am (with coffee served from 10.00am) and concluding by 4pm. This day is for all who are involved in preparing children, young people, parents or adult enquirers for the Sacraments of Initiation, or leading Children's Liturgy of the Word. Cost £5.
