INTERNATIONAL MASS - Sunday 6 July at our 11am Mass. Our preparation got underway last Wednesday. We have further meetings on Wednesdays 11 and 18 at 7pm in the Upper Room. There will be 2 rehearsals - Tuesday 24 at 7pm and Monday 30 at 8pm. To help with the planning and organisation please complete and hand in the form in your newsletter.

FIRST COMMUNION: Today at our 11.00am Mass we celebrate the theme 'Serving'. On behalf of the parish I would like to take this opportunity to thank the catechists, Rachel, Su, Megan and Maureen who gave so generously of their time and talent over the year.

BAPTISM PREPARATION: If you have a child for baptism you are invited to a three session course to take place on Saturdays 21 and 28 June and 5 July in the Upper Room 2-3.30pm. Please let Canon Michael know if you would like to attend.

MISSION APPEAL: Next weekend we welcome Sisters Helen Fennell and Roisin Hickey (Franciscan Missionaries of Mary) who will be making an appeal.

MANY THANKS to all who welcomed and helped the sick and housebound who came for the Anointing last Sunday. Thanks also to those who provided and served the refreshments.

APF MISSION BOXES: All who support the Missions using the red boxes are invited to bring the proceeds to Church this week-end (7/8 June).

MARRIAGE CARE: A team of people have been providing Marriage Preparation Courses for the York parishes for some years. If you are interested in helping in this work please speak to Canon Michael.

THANKS to all who served the refreshments last Saturday and all who supported it in any way. A total of £187.44 was raised towards funding Megan and Olga - our two representatives going to World Youth Day in Sydney in July.

CAFOD UNEARTH JUSTICE PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION, Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 June in St Wilfrid's Church. Bishop Terence will officiate at the Opening Ceremony on Tuesday 24th at 10.15am. CAFOD would be very grateful if you could spare any time from half an hour to a couple of hours between 9.30am and 6.00pm over these 2 days.
