PREPARATION FOR HOLY WEEK AND EASTER
MINISTERS OF WORD: Please see list in porch for the Holy Week Rotas. Would all Readers please attend the meeting at 8pm on Wed. 12 Mar. to practise for Passion Sunday?
MINISTERS OF COMMUNION renew their commitment on Holy Thursday at the Mass of the Lord's Supper -7.30pm.
SINGING AT EASTER: Please come along on Mondays, 10 and 17 March to the Upper Room, 7.30pm-8.30pm to practise for Holy Week and Easter. All very welcome.
CHRISM MASS - Tuesday 18 March, 12 noon at St Mary's Cathedral, Middlesbrough. Please put your name on the list in the porch if you would like to book a seat on the coach.
HOLY HOUR for the priests and people of the York Deanery takes place on Tuesday 11 March, 2.00pm-3.00pm at St Margaret Clitherow Church, Haxby. All welcome.
ST PATRICK'S DAY this year will be celebrated here at St Wilfrid's with Mass on Friday 14 March at 12.10pm and afterwards refreshments and music in the Upper Room.. All welcome. Because the 17th falls within Holy Week the feast is brought forward this year.
THE MUSIC GROUP will be playing on Sunday 30 March at the 11.00am Mass. Please come along with your instruments to the practices (Mondays 10 and 17 March), 6.30pm-7.30pm in the Upper Room - all welcome.
CONFIRMATION: Our 10 young candidates will be Confirmed by Bishop Drainey on Wednesday 14 May at The Church of Our Lady, Gale Lane, Acomb at 7.00pm.
PARISH FINANCE: Thanks to those who responded to the recent appeal to go on regular giving to the Church. Copies of the recent letter are available in the porch. The retiring collection which has been very helpful to the Church is discontinued - the Finance Committee agreed that this collection be taken from Easter to October.
MANY THANKS to those who attended the Ceilidh last Saturday night - a total of £635 was raised for MENCAP.
