MINISTERS OF THE WORD Those taking part in our Holy Thursday and Good Friday Services are asked to come together on Wednesday 12 April at 7.30pm and 8.00pm. Easter Vigil readers meet on Monday 10 April at 7.30pm.

MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION are asked to check the list in the porch for the Triduum Services they are involved in. The renewal of commitment takes place for all Ministers at the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday - 7.30pm.

SINGING PRACTICE You are welcome to come along on Monday to practise for our Holy Week Celebrations. We gather in the Upper Room 7.30pm - 8.15pm. Hope you can make it.

THE BIG CLEAN - Wednesday. Please can you help clean the church for Easter anytime between 9am and 4pm? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

UNITED SERVICE in the Minster on Good Friday at 7.30pm. Procession of Witness leaves the fountain, Parliament Street at 6.50pm to walk to the Minster.

CHRISM MASS Tuesday 11 April, 12noon at the Cathedral, Middlesbrough. The coach (now fully booked) will be leaving from the Memorial Gardens at 9.30am. Cost £5 - please put your payment in an envelope with your name on and leave in Sacristy/Rectory.

OFFERTORY ENVELOPES for 2006/2007 are available in the Baptistry today. If you would like to make your contribution to the Church through the envelope system please put your name and address on the list provided in the Baptistry.

GIFT AID The parish receives more than £500 in the loose plate nearly every week. This is a great help to the parish but if you pay tax you could sign a Gift Aid Form as it enables the church to claim an extra 28p in the £11 from the Inland Revenue. Please consider this and help the Church by putting your name down today.

NICHOLAS THORNE: a tremendous response to Nicholas's appeal for sponsorship last week (he is committed to six months teaching English, in Burkina Faso during his gap year). You gave him £911 last week and some more is promised to him this week. He is overwhelmed by your support and generosity.

CANON MICHAEL'S RUBY JUBILEE - Monday 12 June Concelebrated Mass at 7.00pm, followed by refreshments. Two marquees have now been booked. Please see notice-board in porch.

LAKE DISTRICT DAY TRIP - Tuesday 16 May. Fare £8. To book please see list in porch.

'AHEAD OF THE CLASS' Lady Marie Stubbs Lecture to raise fluids for CCNUK. Tuesday 11 April, 7.30pm at Tempest Anderson Hall. See poster for further details.

BISHOP AUGUSTINE HARRIS The official Mass to celebrate Bishop Harris' 40 years as a Bishop will be held at Liverpool Cathedral on 22 June at 6.00pm Hopefully there will be a coach travelling from York - if you would like to book a seat please put your name on the list in the porch. The fare will be between £10.00 and £15.00, There will be a reception after Mass for all those who attend.
