CONFIRMATION PREPARATION: Today at the 11am Mass we have the Celebration of Sending Forth. This celebration is an important part of the preparation of our Confirmation candidates. It highlights our joy in presenting our young members for Confirmation and recognizes our (the community's) involvement in the sacramental development of our young people and emphasizes the relationship between the parish and the diocese.

The Sacrament will be celebrated at English Martyrs Church at 7pm on Wednesday 19 June. Please support our young people by your prayer and attendance on the night. This is a special time for the parish. We are all invited to be involved. After the Confirmation Mass there will be refreshments for everyone in English Martyrs Hall and we are asked to help by donating sandwiches or cakes etc - please can you help?

THE ANNUAL MASS in honour of St Columba takes place on Monday 10 June at 7.30pm in the Crypt of York Minster. All welcome.

'COME AND SEE' - an afternoon of prayer and reflection with Bishop John at St Bede's Pastoral Centre on Saturday 15 June, 2-5pm. All welcome.

SOCIAL EVENT : Thanks to all who contributed to the success of our gathering in the Groves Club. A total of £458.30 was raised for the Refurbishment Fund.
