WELCOME TO OUR VISITORS and Thanks for joining in our Celebration. We hope you enjoy your time in York. Young children are most welcome to join in the Children's Liturgy at the 11am Mass. It helps the parish if tax-paying visitors would use the small white Gift Aid envelope (found at the back of Church) for any offerings you wish to make. For every £1 you give, the Inland Revenue gives a further £0.28. Thank you for your help.

SEA SUNDAY Today we remember all those who live and work at sea. A retiring collection will be taken for the Apostleship of the Sea who, in this country, provide visiting seafarers With the pastoral care of the Catholic Church - on our behalf. Through them we can demonstrate our solidarity with seafarers.

FIRST COMMUNION 'Serving'. All of us are called to be servants bringing the Gospel to our world through our many gifts. Today during the 11am Mass our children will be presented with their certificates.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION 2007 A meeting for parents who feel that their children are ready to prepare for First Communion takes place on Thursday 13 July, 7.30pm in the Upper Room - entrance through the car park at side of Church.

BECOMING A CATHOLIC If you am not already a member of the Catholic Church and would like to explore the possibility of becoming one, a meeting with me, Canon Michael, will take place in the Upper Room on Thursday 20 July at 7.30pm. If you know of anyone who is interested in becoming a Catholic please let them know about this meeting.

CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME to Millie Rose Coebrane and Audrey Lawler who were baptised recently and to Luau Samuel Chan who is to be baptised today.

GOLDEN WEDDING We rejoice with Phyllis and Tom Massey on reaching their 50 years of marriage - congratulations and prayers.

PARISH FORUM - Tuesday 18 July, 7.30 - 9.00pm in the Upper Room. This change of day gives those who find Sunday afternoons inconvenient, an opportunity to participate. The Forum is a way of dialogue between priest and parishioners which is available to us three or four times a year. If you have an item for the Agenda please hand it in by Friday 14 July.

CLOSING MEETING OF JUBILEE CELEBRATION - Wednesday 12 July, 7.30pm in the Sacristy. All welcome,

CATHOLIC LIFE & WOMEN OF FAITH available from the Paper Counter in the porch - £3 and £3.50. Both have articles relating to York - a really good read.

SPRINGBOARD - Sunday 9 July at Ampleforth, starting With Mass at midday. All the usual activities - five a side, outdoor informal games of football, tennis, cricket, barbeque and disco, ending at 6.00pm.

CALLED TO TREK - a walk for vocations. Sunday 6 August to Saturday 12 August, We are all asked to ay especially for vocations during these days but if you would like to also take part in the walk either for the week or just a day, please see Ike notice in the parch for detail,.
