RACIAL JUSTICE SUNDAY Go to a land I will show you! People are on the move! Immigrants and emigrants, refugees and asylum seekers. People move for all sorts of reasons and the result is that everywhere we look, people from all over the world rub shoulders with each other. This is God's doing! We are one Race, the Human Race. BISHOP AUGUSTINE HARRIS who served our Diocese as a good Shepherd for 14 years died on Thursday 30 August in Liverpool. His funeral will take place at St Mary's Cathedral Middlesbrough on Wednesday 12 September at 12 noon. Archbishop Kelly of Liverpool will preside. Please remember Bishop Harris in your prayer.
BAPTISM COURSE: Next preparation course takes place on Saturdays 15, 22 and 29 September, 2-3pm in the Upper Room. Please let Canon Michael know if attending.

RCIA - Involving the Whole Parish Community: An evening with Dr Sheila O'Dea exploring the treasurers of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) on Friday 21 September 7-9pm at All Saints Lower School, Nunnery Lane. A donation of £5 is suggested. This evening is open to the whole of the Diocese so booking is essential. If you would like to attend please put your name on the list in the porch today.
WELCOMING PEOPLE INTO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH: A meeting for all Catholics who would like to be involved in sharing faith will be held on Tuesday 25 September at 7.30pm in the Upper Room.

RETIRED PRIESTS WELFARE FUND - a retiring collection will be taken next weekend. This fund supports the retired priests of our Diocese in a small way. Without their help and enthusiastic support, many parishes would be without a Sunday Mass during the holiday period. The Diocese would like to do more, and with your help they can.
