FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION: Today at our 11.00am Mass we focus on the theme of 'Remembering' ('Do this in memory of me'). We continue to pray for all the children preparing for First Communion and their families.
CANTORS: To prepare for our Sunday liturgy a monthly meeting will be held on the second Monday of each month with Iain Robertson. I invite all our Cantors to these meetings to look at the psalms for the following month. The First meeting takes place 11 May, 7.30pm in the Upper Room.

"ONCE A CATHOLIC ....?" : A diocesan workshop to help us reach out to Catholics who no longer practise their faith - Saturday 27 June, 10.00am - 3.30pm at English Martyrs Church. The cost of the day is £5 - booking essential. Please put your name on the list in the porch if you wish to go and put payment in envelope with your name on and hand to Canon Michael.

WALK FOR LIFE. Today, Sunday 10 May, you are invited to join a procession at 1.15pm - 1.30pm from the West precinct of York Minster to the Knavesmire via Ouse Bridge and the Bar Convent. The walk is preceded by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament here at St Wilfrid's (12.30pm - 1.00pm and finishes with Mass at English Martyrs Church at approx. 5.00pm.
AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED - York Event, Saturday 16 May, 12 noon at English Martyrs Church, Dalton Terrace. Mass followed by refreshments and talks on Christians in the Middle East and India. Please see notice for further details.

DAY TRIP TO LINCOLN CATHEDRAL AND KINEMA IN THE WOODS - Tuesday 12 May. £22.50 covers coach, Kinema in the Woods and meal at McCauley's Restaurant. The coach leaves Memorial Gardens at 9.15am and Our Lady's at 9.30am. We are expected to arrive back in York around 8.00pm
PRAYER FOR PEACE on the first Thursday of each month at St Martin's, Coney Street, 12.45pm - l.45pm. Everyone welcome to drop in or stay for the hour.
ST WILFRID'S SCHOOL PTFA: The school is again collecting old clothes, towels, sheets, etc. to raise funds. Blue bags are available at the back of church today. Please return to the school by 10.00am on 15 May, or ring Mary Luker for collection.

LINDISFARNE PILGRIMAGE: Each summer the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton organise an ecumenical walk exploring a particular aspect of our faith and Christian heritage.
