FIRST COMMUNION We welcome to the Eucharist for the first time today, Ailish, Alex, Bethany, Charlene, Isobel, Kerensa, Lucy, Megan, Paloma, Pauline, Ruby, and True. We congratulate the children and their parents and pray for them today and in the fixture.

BAPTISM PREPARATION If you have a child for Baptism a one session course will take place on Saturday 16 June 2-3.30pm in the Upper Room. Please speak to Canon Michael if you wish to attend.

THE WORK ON THE SANCTUARY We now await the installation of the new altar and ambo. Weekday Mass will be celebrated at the usual times in The Sacred Heart Chapel. The Church remains open for private prayer as usual.

Thanks to all who cleaned the Church last weekend - hope you can make it for the next few weeks.

The cost of the current work will be approximately £70,000.

A CEILIDH will be held on Saturday 16 June in St Wilfrid's School Hall. Our compere will be Ellie Fiorentini of Radio York, music by Celtic Blend, Irish Dancing by the children of the Riley School of Dancing. Tickets £5 available from Church porch. Please come along and enjoy the evening.

CELEBRATION OF PRIESTHOOD This annual Mass takes place on Sunday 17 June at 5pm in the Cathedral. Middlesbrough. All welcome.

INTERNATIONAL MASS We are blessed here in St Wilfrid's to have many countries represented at our Sunday Eucharist. With a view to planning an International Mass you are invited to a meeting on Tuesday 26 June at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. All welcome.

ANNUAL MASS for the feast of St Columba at the Minister on Mon. 11 June at 7.30pm.

MASS IN ST MARY'S ABBEY Museum Gardens on Sat. 23 June at 2.30pm in honour of Our Lady of Walsingham. If the day is wet the Mass will be held in St Wilfrid's.

YORK WALSINGHAM ASSOCIATION - meeting on Wednesday 20 June at St George's Church. Mass will be at 12.30pm followed by the meeting.

SPRINGBOARD 2007 Our Diocesan Youth Festival will be held at Ampleforth College on Sunday July. It begins with the celebration of Mass at 12noon.

EXPLORING THE CATHOLIC CHURCH A series of video talks at English Martyrs Hall on Thursdays 7, 14, 21 June.. all at 8pm. Please see poster for further details.
