FIRST COMMUNION It is you, the faith community, that welcomes these children to the table of the Lord as you once welcomed them into the community through Baptism. We thank you for helping them to grow in their faith by your word and example. Let us continue to pray for them and their families. They will receive the Lord for the first time in the Eucharist at the 11.00am Mass next Sunday. CANON MICHAEL'S RUBY JUBILEE - Monday 12 June 06. Concelebrated Mass at 7pm followed by refreshments in the Rectory and Garden. All very welcome. Thanks to all who have offered their help in any way. A short meeting will be held after 11am Mass today for all who have offered help. Please come if possible. Other volunteers welcome. For catering purposes it would be helpful if your food donations could be brought during the day up to 6.00pm. Rotas for helpers are now posted in the church porch. Parking in the Church Yard on the evening of the 12 will be for Clergy only. CELEBRATION OF PRIESTHOOD - Sunday 25 June, 5.00pm at St Mary Cathedral, Middlesbrough. Mgr Seamus Kilbane, who celebrates his Golden Jubilee this weekend, will be preaching at this Mass. All very welcome. BISHOP AUGUSTINE HARRIS The official Mass to celebrate Bishop Harris' 40 years as a Bishop will be held at Liverpool Cathedral on 22 June at 6.00pm. The coach will leave the Memorial Gardens at 2.00pm. Fare £12 - to be paid beforehand. SPRINGBOARD - Sunday 9 July at Ampleforth, starting with Mass at midday. All the usual activities - five a side. outdoor informal games of football, tennis, cricket, barbeque and disco, ending at 6.00pm. POSTGATE RALLY - Sunday 2 July at St Anne's, Ugthorpe. Mass 3.00pm.
