RACIAL JUSTICE SUNDAY Today has been designated by Christian Churches in Britain and Ireland as a national day of prayer for racial justice. We are all asked to reflect on racial justice issues, to pray for a Christian response, and to make a commitment to work for justice.

CONFIRMATION PREPARATION Our young people meet again on Thursday next (16 September), 7pm-7.30pm in the Upper Room.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION A meeting for parents who would like their children to receive First Holy Communion in 2005 takes place on Wednesday 29 September at 7.30pm in the Upper Room.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) If you are interested in becoming a Catholic or if you know of someone who may be interested, our meetings start on Tuesday 28 September at 7.30pm in the Upper Room.

CONGRATULATIONS to Doreen and Jack Angel (home from Canada) as they celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

MANY THANKS to all who supported the Auction of promises, in any way, at the Beechwood Close Hotel on Friday evening. A wonderful social evening as well as a fundraiser - proceeds will be known next week.

CARECENT HARVEST APPEAL: It is the time of year when Carecent are replenishing their stocks for the winter months. Can you please help by donating breakfast cereals (porridge etc.), sugar, baked beans, tomatoes, tinned meat, etc. A basket will be in the porch at all Masses next weekend for your donations and they will be brought up with the Offertory gifts during Mass.

THE RETIRING COLLECTION is for the Church Refurbishment Fund.

RETIRED PRIESTS WELFARE FUND - a retiring collection will be taken next weekend.

HOME MISSION - next Sunday is a day of prayer for the spread of the Gospel in England and Wales. CASE, the Catholic Agency to Support Evangelisation, was launched by the Bishops at Easter to support and resource individual parishes and communities to share the Good News of Gods love.
