EUCHARISTIC DEVOTION: As work is still going on in Church, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be deferred until it is completed.

RCIA: Our first meeting after the Christmas break will take place on Tuesday 15 January at 7.30pm in the Rectory.

CONFIRMATION PREPARATION: The next gathering takes place on Wednesday 23 January at 7-8.30pm in the Rectory. Date of Confirmation - Wednesday 29 June. Please keep these young people in your prayers.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION: There are three courses planned for this year at St Bede's Pastoral Centre, Blossom Street - Saturdays 9 March, 22 June and 9 November. The cost is £30 per couple. To book please ring 789115 or 339920.

PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY-'With you is the fountain of life'. St Wilfrid's is hosting the annual Service for the Heart of York next Sunday (20 January) at 6.30pm. Refreshments will be served in the Rectory after the Service. It would be a great help if you could bring cakes etc. All welcome.

MINISTERS OF THE WORD : A meeting will take place each Wednesday for those reading on the following Saturday/Sunday. These meetings start on Wednesday 23 January at 8pm to 8.45pm in the Rectory.

PARISH FORUM - 3.30pm Sunday 3 February in the Rectory. If you have any items for the agenda please place them in the box in the porch by Friday 25 Jan.

HOUSE GROUP - 7.30pm, Thursday 24 January at the home of Monica and Carl Lawrence, 1 St Barnabas Close, Leeman Road. All welcome.

FUNDRAISING MEETING - tomorrow, Monday 14 January, 7.30pm in the Rectory. All welcome.

MUSIC GROUP: Do you play an instrument? Would you like to be part of our group and help us celebrate the Liturgy? We meet on Mondays 7 - 8pm in the Rectory. If you have a musical gift why not use it in praise of God?

TEA AND COFFEE will be served after both the 9.00am and 11.00am Sunday Masses in the Rectory until the Upper Room is reopened. All welcome.

WALSINGHAM ASSOC - Wed 23 January, 2.30pm at St Paulinus Church.

LOURDES FORUMS : Everyone with an interest in the annual diocesan Pilgrimage is welcome to attend a meeting 3pm, Sun 20 Jan at Our Lady's, Acomb. Committee members will speak on the 2002 and 2003 Pilgrimages.

THE EURO: With the introduction of the Euro many people will have small amounts of old currency notes from their holidays. These can be handed in at and the diocese can convert them into sterling for the Clergy Retirement Fund.
