FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION 'Forgiving' Children meet 10am Sat 20

Parish Celebration: Sunday 28 March 11am

CHRISM MASS at the Cathedral on Tuesday 6 April. A coach will leave the Memorial Gardens at 9.30am and Our Lady's, Acomb at 9.45am. If you would like a seat, please put your name on the list in the porch indicating your preferred pick-up point. £5. A buffet lunch will be provided at Hemlington for coach parties.

PROCESSION TO HOLY COMMUNION A suggestion from the Parish Forum - that communicants leave their benches row by row when going to receive Holy Communion at Mass. There is no need for everybody to stand and fill up the entire length of the centre aisles at the beginning of Holy Communion.

PARISH FORUM Sunday 14 March, 3.30pm-5pm in the Upper Room. All welcome.

ST PATRICK'S DAY - Wednesday 17 March: Mass for Peace will be at 12.10pm.

MINISTERS OF COMMUNION - Prayer and meeting, Thursday 25 March 8pm.

PARISH FINANCE Thanks to all who support the parish by weekly/monthly giving through Standing Order or the envelope system. As we come towards the end of the tax year, you may consider increasing your contribution to the Church. If you are not already committed to the parish in this way and would like to be, please fill in one of the forms in the porch and hand it to me or post it through the Rectory letter box.

YORK GLEE SINGERS CONCERT Sun. 14 March, 7.30pm here at St Wilfrid's Church. Tickets £4 or £3 concessions. The group will be singing Durufle's Requiem and Leonard Benistain's 'Chichester Psalms and smaller items too. All welcome.

MONEY FOR OLD CLOTHES! St Wilfrid's PTA are organising the Yorkshire Air Ambulance van to be in the playground 8.30am - 9.30am on Wednesday 17 March - collecting bags of unwanted clothes, shoes, bedding, etc. Money raised will go to the Air Ambulance and the PTA's fund for stage lighting.

YORK NIGHTSTOP provides safe emergency accommodation for vulnerable young people 16-25 years. Volunteer hosts and drivers are needed please telephone 652043.
