MARRIAGE PREPARATION 2009: The marriage preparation dates are as follows: 17 January, 14 March, 7 May, 18 July, 19 September, 14 November. All people planning their wedding are expected to participate in one of these courses which take place at St Bede's Pastoral Centre, Blossom Street, York. Please ring Marriage Care on 789115 to apply.

MUSIC GROUP If you would like to be part of this group you are most welcome to come along and bring your instruments - meet each Monday, 6.30pm in the Upper Room..

RETIRING COLLECTIONS: This weekend our collection will be for the SVP charities. The weekend of 20/21 December will be for flowers for the Christmas season.

ST WILFRID'S SCHOOL Key Stage 2 Carol Service, here at St Wilfrid's on Wednesday 17 December at 7.00pm. All welcome.

MINISTERS OF THE WORD: Would all ministers who put their names on the list for Christmas Masses please check the noticeboard. Readers Meeting for Christmas takes place on Monday 22 December at 7.30pm.

Please note that there is NO Readers meeting this Wednesday (17th).

CHRISTMAS DRAW: Many thanks to those who have generously donated prizes and sold and bought tickets. The Draw takes place next Sunday 21 December in the Upper Room after the 11.00am Mass.

APF RED MISSION BOXES: All those who support the missions through the use of the red boxes are asked to bring the contents to the Sacristy next weekend.

CHURCH CLEANING FOR CHRISTMAS: Can you spend an hour helping to clean the church on Monday 22 December any time between 9am and 2.00pm?

CHURCH CLEANING: A very small group of dedicated people has been cleaning the Church over the past year. More help is urgently needed - please put your name on the list in the porch to join the monthly rota.

LOURDES 2009 (22 - 29 May). Anyone who would like to travel on our Diocesan Pilgrimage as a sick person is asked to complete the pink application form available from Canon Michael.

CARECENT is open six mornings a week providing cooked breakfasts, clothing and fellowship to all homeless, unemployed or disadvantaged members of our community. Present and ongoing needs are: tinned ham and other cold meats, fresh fruit, brown sauce, sugar, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, shower gel, jeans, gloves, scarves, hats, waterproof coats, shoes, blankets and sleeping bags. Items may be brought to Church or directly to Carecent in St Saviourgate.
