RITE OF ELECTION - Sunday 29 February at the Cathedral, Middlesbrough. A coach will be leaving from the Memorial Gardens at 1pm and returns approximately 5.30-6pm. Cost £5. FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION Theme 'Sharing'. During the dialogue which opens the Eucharistic Prayer, we join with the celebrant in giving thanks for the love God shares with us as family. In this dialogue we are reminded of our close union with the priest and with one another as we thank the Father through Jesus.

MANY THANKS to Madge Gell's family who donated half of the retiring collection at Madge's funeral to the Church -£151.40. Thanks are also due to the Darley Family who have donated a £1000 to the Church following Joan's funeral.
DIOCESAN CATECHISTS COURSE : Six people from St Wilfrid's have completed the third catechist's course in our diocese- Next Saturday Angela Breffit, Joanna Keogh, John Knowles, Andrea Robinson, Judith and Bob Smeaton, along with 50 others, will be receiving their certificates from Bishop John at the Cathedral. We congratulate them all.
AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED Rev. Brian Morgan, a deacon in our diocese, will be making an appeal for the above charity at all Masses next weekend.
PROCESSION TO HOLY COMMUNION A suggestion from the Parish Forum - that communicants leave their benches row by row when going to receive Holy Communion at Mass. There is no need for everybody to stand and fill up the entire length of the centre aisles at the beginning of Holy Communion.
