HOME MISSION SUNDAY A Day of Prayer and reflection for Evangelisation in England and Wales.

THE GOSPEL CHALLENGE : 18 - 20 October 2002. An invitation to all members of the parish who would like to come and reflect on the Gospel and its impact on us today. Booking forms available from the porch today.

DAY FOR MINISTERS OF THE WORD - Saturday 19 October at York University. The charge for each participant is £17.50. St Wilfrid's participants are asked to contribute £8.50 towards the day - list in porch for names. Our weekly meetings begin again on Wed. next (11th) at 8pm in Upper Room.

ST SAMPSON'S FUNDRAISING DAY Tomorrow (Monday 16). This is our annual event that has helped the parish so much in the past. Help is needed in all areas and today (Sun) afternoon from 4pm to take goods from Church to St Sampsons and set up for tomorrow.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) If you are interested in becoming a Catholic or if you know of someone who may be interested, our meetings start on Tuesday 15 October at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. Inquiries - 624767.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION: The first meeting for parents takes place on Wed. 16 October at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. Further details later.

DAY OF REFLECTION Tues 8 Oct 10.30am - 3.30pm at St Aelred's Community Centre led by Rev. Nigel Bavidge. Please bring something for the shared lunch; tea and coffee provided. The suggested donation is £3 or whatever you can afford. All welcome. Please see noticeboard for further info.

PARISH FORUM : Due to St Sampson's Fundraising Day the next forum has been changed to Sunday 6 October, 3.30pm in the Upper Room.

LITURGY OF THE WORD WITH CHILDREN : A meeting for all involved in this ministry takes place on Monday 23 September, 8pm in the Upper Room.

CELEBRATING LITURGIES - Diocesan Ongoing Formation on the following dates at 7.30pm at St Margaret Clitherow Church, Haxby - 17 & 24 September and 2 & 9 October. See poster for further details.
