BECOMING A CATHOLIC If you are not already a member of the Catholic Church and would like to explore the possibility of becoming one, a meeting with me, Canon Michael, will take place in the Upper Room on Thursday 20 July at 7.30pm. If you know of anyone who is interested in becoming a Catholic please let them know about this meeting.

PARISH FORUM Tuesday 18 July 7.30 - 9.00pm in the Upper Room. This change of day gives those who find Sunday afternoons inconvenient, an opportunity to participate. The Forum is a way of dialogue between priest and parishioners which is available to us three or four times a year. If you have an item for the Agenda please hand in by Friday 14 July.

CONGRATULATIONS to Julie Cahill and Spencer Malone, and Dominic McTigue and Samantha Lindley who were married at St Wilfrid's this weekend.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION - So that others may share in the celebrations with the children of the parish who have recently received the First Communion, we would like to invite these children to bring a photograph of themselves to put on the board in the porch. The photos will not be labelled but we would ask you to write the child's name on the reverse and pin it onto the board. Thank you.

CALLED TO TREK a walk for vocations, Sunday 6 August to Saturday 12 August. We are all asked to pray especially for vocations during these days but if you would like to also take part in the walk, either for the week or just a day please see the notice in the porch for details.

FATHER TED SCALES died peacefully at Victoria Care Lodge in Middlesbrough on Thursday 6 July. He served at English Martyrs Church herein York from 1982-87. His funeral took place at St Francis Church, Middlesbrough on Friday 140. May he rest in peace.

AUTUMN FAYRE Sunday 15 October 12 midday - 4pm. Meeting Monday 24 July 7.30pm.

APF MILL HILL Pat and Ernie Johnston will be collecting the contents of your red mission boxes next weekend. If anyone would like a box to help the missions please give your name to Pat, Ernie or Canon Michael.
