BANGLADESH CYCLONE EMERGENCY APPEAL: Your donations last week amounted to £1030.41 and have been forwarded to CAFOD.

ADVENT DAY OF RECONCILIATION: Priests will be available to hear Confessions from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday 22 December here at St Wilfrid's.

THE CRIB SERVICE will take place in St Wilfrid's Church on Sunday 23 December at 4.00pm. All children who wish to take an active part will be invited to do so. All welcome.

ALL SAINTS R.C. SCHOOL Carol Service in York Minster on Monday 17 December at 7.30pm. Mince pies will be served after the service in the North Transept. All welcome.

A SAVIOUR IN ST SAMPSON'S SQUARE - a traditional Nativity Play takes place on Monday 17 December. Performance times: 12.30pm and 1.30pm. See poster for details.

NEW BISHOP OF MIDDLESBROUGH: Mgr Terence Patrick Drainey, President of Ushaw College has been appointed by Pope Benedict XVI. He will receive Episcopal ordination on Friday 25 January 2008 at 12 noon in St Mary's Cathedral Middlesbrough. He asks for your prayer support.

ST WILFRID'S SCHOOL CAROL SERVICE takes place here in Church on Wednesday 19 December at 7.00pm. All welcome.

MINISTERS OF THE WORD: Would all ministers who put their names on the list for Christmas Masses please check the notice on the board. Readers Meeting for 4th Sunday of Advent and Christmas takes place on Wednesday 19 December at 8.00pm.

CHRISTMAS DRAW tickets are available today - please take a few books. Many thanks to those who have generously donated prizes. The Draw takes place next Sunday, 23 December, in the Upper Room after 11am Mass

MANY THANKS to the Filipino Community who organised the refreshments after Mass on Sunday 2 December - a total of £57.57 was raised for Sydney 08.

CHURCH REPAIRS - an update: Upon further inspection by the architect and stonemason it was deemed necessary to erect scaffolding over the organ as internal work, as well as external, on the window was essential. Mathias Garn, the stonemason, and his team have worked all week to ensure all would be finished for Christmas. They have done a wonderful job. Many thanks to the generous donations received recently.

THE RETIRING COLLECTION taken today is for the SVP charities.

APF RED MISSION BOXES: Pat and Ernie will collect the contents of your boxes next weekend.

USED ROSARIES: If you have any used rosaries that you do not need please bring them to the Sacristy before Christmas. They will be sent to the missions.
