CANTORS: To prepare for our Sunday liturgy a monthly meeting will be held on the second Monday of each month with Iain Robertson. I invite all our Cantors to these meetings to look at the psalms for the following month.
"ONCE A CATHOLIC ....?" : A diocesan workshop to help us reach out to Catholics who no longer practise their faith - Saturday 27 June, 10.00am - 3.30pm at English Martyrs Church. The cost of the day is £5 - booking essential. Please put your name on the list in the porch if you wish to go and put payment in envelope with your name on and hand to Canon Michael.
INTERNATIONAL MASS Sunday 19 July at 11.00am. A meeting for all interested in preparing for this Mass takes place on Tuesday 9 June at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. All very welcome.
THE RETIRING COLLECTION next weekend is for the Catholic Communications Network. The Holy Father's Message for 2009 'New Technologies, New Relationships, Promoting a Culture of Respect, Dialogue and Friendship'. The Catholic Communications Network provides support for the Bishops of England and Wales in promoting the Gospel in the media.
THE YEAR OF ST PAUL (June 2008 - June 2009): The closing Mass will be celebrated at York Minster on Saturday 27 June at 6.30pm. All very welcome.
CAFOD has written to thank Parishioners for the generous response to the Lenten Fast Day and Friday lunches - a total of £1,766.44.
ST THERESE OF LISIEUX - A time of grace for England and Wales. The relics of this great saint will be visiting England and Wales from 16 September to 16 October 2009. We are very privileged in York to have the relics in the Minster for her feast day, 1 -2 October. A date to keep in your diary.

LINDISFARNE PILGRIMAGE: Each summer the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton organise an ecumenical walk exploring a particular aspect of our faith and Christian heritage.
