FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION 'Forgiving'

Parish Celebration: Sunday 28 March 11.00am

The Eucharist helps us to forgive and to seek forgiveness, and to grow in love with God and one another. The Eucharist itself is a sacrament of reconciliation, a celebration of our oneness with God and with one another. Before offering our gift at the altar, we participate in a Penitential Rite at the beginning of Mass. We pause to reflect on our failures to love. Then we proclaim our need for forgiveness and for reconciliation by responding Lord, have mercy to the invocations spoken by the priest.

LENTEN PENITENTIAL SERVICE for the Pastoral Area will take place here at St Wilfrid's on Saturday 3 April at 2.30pm. A number of priests will be here to celebrate the sacrament of reconciliation.

MINISTERS OF COMMUNION - Prayer and meeting, Thursday 25 March 8.00pm.
