MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSES: All who are planning their weddings to be celebrated at St Wilfrid's are invited to attend one of the courses at St Bede's Pastoral Centre. Saturdays 1 July, 8 July and 11 November. Please contact Canon Michael for an application form.
CANON MICHAEL'S RUBY JUBILEE - Monday 12 June 06 Concelebrated Mass at 7pm followed by refreshments in the Rectory and Garden. All very welcome. The next planning meeting takes place on Thursday 25 at 7.30pm in the Sacristy. Thanks to all who have offered their help in any way. Volunteers are needed to help on Sunday after the 11.00am Mass and on Monday during the day to prepare the Marquee, etc. Small pork pies, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and small sweets, e.g. profiteroles, mini fruit tartlets, etc. are still needed for the cold finger buffet. PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES We remember in prayer all the people travelling next Friday to Lourdes to join the Diocesan Pilgrimage - many candles will be lit and prayers offered up for our intentions.
BISHOP AUGUSTINE HARRIS The official Mass to celebrate Bishop Harris' 40 years as a Bishop will be held at Liverpool Cathedral on 22 June at 6.00pm. Hopefully there will be a coach travelling from York- if you would like to book a seat please put your name on the list in the porch this weekend. The fare will be between £10.00 and £15.00. There will be a reception after Mass for all those who attend.

THE KNIGHTS OF ST COLUMBA are a body of Catholic men dedicated to serving God and the Catholic Church. The Knights in York support and assist local priests as well as getting involved in charitable activities both for Catholic charities and non religious ones. In York the Knights have recently been involved in fundraising for The Wilberforce Foundation and York Blind and Partially Sighted Society.
