ST WILFRID: This year marks the 13th centenary since the death of St Wilfrid. As he is the patron of our Church it is proposed to celebrate his feast day this year with special solemnity -Monday 12 October 2009.

At last week's meeting it was decided that we invite all the priests of the Diocese (St Wilfrid is the second patron of the Middlesbrough Diocese), ecumenical guests as well as people from the York parishes. Leaflets will be distributed throughout the city advertising the event and refreshments would be served in the Guild Hall after the Mass. Many people will be needed to help with the preparations so if you can come to the next meeting on Wednesday 1 July at 8pm in the Upper Room it would be most appreciated.

WE WELCOME George Alistair Greenhoff who is to be baptised into our Christian community today at the 11am Mass. Congratulations to George and all the family.
