HOME MISSION SUNDAY Today we are encouraged to pray for the evangelisation of England and Wales. CANON MICHAEL I returned to the parish on Monday last after my recent illness. Thanks to all the people who supported me through their prayers and good wishes and to those who kept the parish ticking over and the weeds under control! RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). If you are interested in becoming a Catholic or if you know of someone who may be interested, our meetings start on Tuesday next (23 Sep) at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. Inquiries - 624767. CONGRATULATIONS to Sharon Curwen and Kenneth Sawyers who were married here this weekend and also to Charles Mohan who is being welcomed into the Christian community today through baptism. BAPTISM PREPARATION If you have a child for Baptism please get in touch with Canon Michael. Next course - Saturdays 4, 11, 18 and 25 October, 2 - 3pm in the Upper Room. SATURDAY REFRESHMENTS Our next Refreshments Day will be Saturday 27 September. Cakes etc would be welcomed and of course help on the day please. ST WILFRID'S FUNDRAIS1NG AT ST CRUX - Tuesday 14 October. HOUSE GROUP Friday 26 September, 8pm at 1 St Barnabas Close. All welcome. APF RED MISSION BOXES will be emptied before each Mass next weekend. MARTIN SANDERSON will be leaving later this month to join the Franciscan Brothers.
