It spends its time on pilgrimage around the world in between World Youth Days, acting as a focus for prayer. The cross will be coming to England and Wales in January 2004 and it will be in our Diocese at the Cathedral on Monday 26 January. Bishop John invites all young people of the Diocese to gather around the Cross for this unique event. An evening liturgy of the Passion especially written for young people will begin at 7pm and end around 8.30pm and is open to all. (World Youth Day is open to 18-35 year olds). It helps the parish if tax-paying visitors would use the small white Gift Aid envelope (found at the back of Church) for any offerings you wish to make. For every £1 you give, the Inland Revenue gives a further £0.28. Thank you for your help.
Christmas is: To light a flame of HOPE. To whisper a prayer of PEACE. To share the GOOD NEWS.
May you and your families have a Happy and Holy Christmas.
