UNEMPLOYMENT SUNDAY Today we pray for the needs of the unemployed and their families. RITE OF ELECTION - Sunday 29 February at the Cathedral, Middlesbrough. A coach will be leaving from the Memorial Gardens at 1pm and returns approximately 5.30-6pm. Cost £5. Please come along and support Martha and Desmond and all from around the diocese who are preparing to join us. List at back of church - please sign up. FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION Theme 'Sharing'. During the dialogue which opens the Eucharistic Prayer, we join with the celebrant in giving thanks for the love God shares with us as family. Parish Celebration Sunday 29 February at 11.00am CONFIRMATION PREPARATION got off to a good start on Thursday last. Twelve candidates have enrolled. We look forward to our next meeting on 6 May. BAPTISM PREPARATION If you have a child for Baptism please get in touch with Canon Michael. Next course Sats. 28 Feb. 6, 13 & 20 Mar. 2-3pm in the Upper Room. AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED Rev. LENTEN LUNCHES Fridays of Lent - can you please help? Please see list in porch. PARISH FUNDRAISING DAY at St Crux, Thursday 4 March. Bric a brac, books, plants, etc. are urgently needed (but no clothes or electrical goods) to be left at the Sacristy/Rectory. More especially, your help on the day would be appreciated. PROCESSION TO HOLY COMMUNION A suggestion from the Parish Forum - that communicants leave their benches row by row when going to receive Holy Communion at Mass. There is no need for everybody to stand and fill up the entire length of the centre aisle at the beginning of Holy Communion. SUNDAY COFFEE ROTA - can you help once every 5 weeks? Please see one of the ladies in the Upper Room today. WOMEN'S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER - Friday 5 March. Central Service 2pm at St Michael-le-Belfrey. Prepared by Women of Panama.
