FAIRTRADE guarantees a better deal for Third World Producers. St Wilfrid's is now a Fairtrade Parish using Fairtrade tea and coffee for all meetings for which we have responsibility. Consumers are always keen to pay the lowest price for goods, leading to competitive pricing, driving down the price paid to the original producers of many products. This discriminates against the poorest and weakest producers. usually those in developing countries. Fairtrade helps these people to earn a fair wage for their labours.
