YOUTH SUNDAY The youth of our diocese are gathering at English Martyrs today at 2.30pm for Mass followed by a disco 'till 6pm. Refreshments, Tuck Shop.

A Retiring Collection will be taken today for the Diocesan Youth Service.

LIBERIA APPEAL Due to the recent war in Liberia the Corpus Christi Carmelite Sisters were forced to leave their convent, hospital and school and came to stay in Lawrence Street, York. They are now preparing to return early in the New Year and they need all kinds of furniture and household items etc. If you can help please take any items you may have to the Poor Clare Convent, Lawrence Street or leave them here in the Sacristy. Financial help would also be appreciated.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION 'Caring', By our example of caring about and helping those in need, our children learn to express their compassion and care for those who are sick, hurt, sad, lonely, homeless, hungry, finding difficulty in doing school work etc.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jules Bernet-Luna, Harriet Tree, Jodie Erin Leon who were baptised into our community recently and to their parents and families.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE 10am - 3pm, Saturday 29 November in the Upper Room. Refreshments all day including warm mince pies, Tombola and other stalls. Any donations of cakes etc and help on the day would be greatly appreciated. Please come along and enjoy the company. All very welcome.

CHRISTMAS DRAW - tickets are available today. We are appealing for prizes - Christmas Cake, bottles of wine/spirits, chocolates, toys and of course any help towards the first prize would be appreciated. See list in porch.

ASCENT Our next meeting takes place on Wednesday next (26 November) at 12.45 - 3pm in the Upper Room. All welcome.

ST WILFRID'S SCHOOL CHRISTMAS FAYRE Saturday 29 November 2-4pm in the School. All very welcome.

ALL SAINTS SIXTH FORM Open Evening, Wednesday 26 November, 7-9pm at the Upper Site, Mill Mount Lane, for students intending to enter Sixth Form in September 2004.

HOUSE GROUP Thursday 27 November 8pm at 1 St Barnabas Close, Leeman Road. All welcome.

CHURCH IN CHINA CONFERENCE Saturday 29 November, 2.00-4.30pm at The Bar Convent. See noticeboard for further details.

DIOCESAN LOURDES PILGRIMAGE 2004 28 May to 4 June. Pilgrims who wish to travel by air as registered sick under medical and nursing care are asked to complete an application form obtainable from Canon Michael.
