CONGO CRISIS APPEAL: Your generous donations last week amounted to £841.85 and have been forwarded to CAFOD to help them in their work in this area.

YOUTH SUNDAY: Today we are pleased that the young people of our parish are taking a lead role in the celebration of our Liturgy at the 11.00am Mass.

THE RETIRING COLLECTION taken today is for the Diocesan Youth Service.

ADVENT DAY OF RECONCILIATION: To prepare for Christmas by the Sacrament of Reconciliation there will be priests available to hear confessions here in St Wilfrid's on Saturday 13 December from 10am - 3pm.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION 2009: The marriage preparation dates are as follows: 17 January, 14 March, 7 May, 18 July, 19 September, 14 November. All people planning their wedding are expected to participate in one of these courses which take place at St Bede's Pastoral Centre, Blossom Street, York. Please contact Canon Michael for a booking form.

MINISTERS OF WORD AND HOLY COMMUNION: If you are available for Christmas ministry please put your name on the list in the Church porch as soon as possible.

MUSIC GROUP: A number of people have expressed a desire to form a group. The first meeting takes place on Monday 1December at 6.30pm. If you would like to be part of this group you are most welcome to come along and bring your instruments.

MONDAY SINGING SESSIONS: Our last session for the time being is on Monday 24 November, 7.30pm - 8.30pm in the Upper Room. We plan to meet again in the weeks leading up to Easter.

CHRISTMAS DRAW - tickets are available today, please take a few books and sell them to your family and friends. If you could help by donating a prize please put your name on the list in the porch.

ST WILFRID'S PARISH CHRISTMAS PARTY, Fri. 12 Dec., 6.30pm - midnight at York Health Service Club, White Cross Rd. Dancing, food, raffle, etc. Tickets available today at £5.

REFRESHMENTS will be served in the Upper Room on Saturday 29 November. As well as the usual cakes, sandwiches, etc. there will be a tombola for which prizes are needed. If you can help please bring along any items you may have to the sacristy as soon as possible.

BORDERLANDS II 'The Church in Transition' : A day led by Father Chris Fallon on Saturday 31 January at the Endsleigh Centre, Hull and a repeat day, Saturday 7 February at Holy Name of Mary Church, Middlesbrough. Both days run from 10.00am to 3.30pm. Cost £6 at the door. If you would like to attend one of these days please put your name on the list in the porch.

CATHOLIC PAPERS will be on sale as usual next weekend.
