THE CRIB SERVICE will take place in St Wilfrid's Church on Sunday 23 December at 4.00pm. All children who wish to take an active part will be invited to do so. All welcome.
BISHOP JOHN CROWLEY has written to say thank you to all who attended his Thanksgiving Mass at the Cathedral last Friday. He also wishes to express gratitude for the generous financial gift you gave to him. Please keep Bishop John in your prayers at this time of transition.
BISHOP TERENCE PATRICK DRAINEY will receive Episcopal Ordination on Friday 25 January 2008. As this is an invitation only celebration, the new Bishop will be here in York to celebrate Mass at St Aelred's on Tuesday 29 January at 7.00pm. All welcome.
RITE OF WELCOME: We are privileged today to welcome Steven, Sam and Lars into our community. This is a step towards full initiation into the Church. Please keep all who are on this journey in your prayers.
The Retreat Day in preparation for the Rite of Election takes place on Saturday 26 January at All Saints Lower School, Nunnery Lane and the Rite of Election takes place on the 1st Sunday of Lent, 10 February at the Cathedral, Middlesbrough.

THE CHRISTMAS DRAW takes place today, Sunday, 23 December, in the Upper Room after 11am Mass. Many thanks to those who have generously donated prizes.
CHURCH REPAIRS: The work on the Church window is now completed. New stone and pillars have been put in place. Thanks to the architect, the stonemasons and the glazier for moving the job on so speedily. As yet we do not have the final cost of the work.
THE DIOCESAN YEAR BOOK 2008 is available today from the porch at £2.
