CAFOD'S LENT FAST DAY: Last Friday, was our Fast Day. The proceeds of our fasting will be collected in today as you leave Mass. Envelopes are still available in the entrance if you need one.

LENT: Station Masses: We are being called together by Bishop John during Lent for the celebration of Mass around the York Pastoral Area. This week - Tuesday 26 Feb 7.00pm at St Aelred's and Friday 12.10pm at St Wilfrid's.

Stations of the Cross - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 11.30am

Lenten Lunches - Fridays after 12.10 Mass in the Rectory - see list in porch.

Springs of Encouragement - Rumours in the Wilderness at Central Methodist Church, Wednesdays - Lunches 11.45am-1pm. Speakers 1-1.30pm. See Poster.

LITURGY OF THE WORD WITH CHILDREN - Meeting for all involved Monday 4 March, 8pm in the Rectory.

GOSPEL CHALLENGE WEEKEND - Fri 17 - Sun 19 May. This is a time for the priest and people to look at the Gospel afresh and face the big questions in our lives today. This special time requires a commitment on the part of each person for the whole weekend starting at 7pm on the Friday, full day Saturday and Sunday afternoon. It is the opportunity of a lifetime! SR THERESA IBVM., To show our appreciation for her many years work in the Parish we are having a little celebration here at the Rectory on Sunday 10 March 4-6pm. All welcome.

WOMEN'S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER - 2.00pm Friday 1 March. The Service for the Heart of York takes place at the Salvation Army Citadel in Gillygate. Speaker - Mrs Jean Hall. All welcome.

JUST 10: In preparation for the Mission April - June 2002 there are sessions to help gain confidence in sharing your faith. Venue, Elim Church, Swinegate, Wednesday evenings to 13 March at 7.45pm.
