TODAY IS WORLD MISSION SUNDAY 'God in Christ reconciled the world to himself.' In Christ all humankind is reconciled; it is our responsibility to make sure they all know it! Heaven knows they need to believe it, today more than ever. The Lord hears the cries of all who cry out to him.

NOVEMBER - HOLY SOULS This is the time of year when we remember in a special way our deceased family members and friends. If you would like to have your loved ones remembered in our Masses here during November please take an envelope from the porch and return it to the Rectory or Sacristy as soon as possible. Throughout the month of November Mass will be offered daily for our dead.

APF RED MISSION BOXES - the contents of your boxes will be collected today.

THE NEW DEAN FOR OUR PASTORAL AREA is Father Pat Hartnett of St George's. Thanks to Canon Pat Harney who has given us good leadership over the last five years. We wish Father Pat Hartnett well as he takes up his new responsibilities.

YORK DEANERY DINNER DANCE - Friday 4 February 2005 in the Voltigeur Suite, York Racecourse. Live band with singer. Four course meal £21 per head. Could we make up a couple of tables from St Wilfrid's? Please put your name, etc. on the list in the porch if you would like a place.

SPUC A public meeting of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children will take place on Wednesday 27 October at the St Mary's Family Centre, Leeds Road, Selby at 7.30pm. A warm invitation is extended to everyone interested in becoming more involved locally.
