FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION 'Giving': In this theme we are looking at the story of Martha and Mary (Luke 10: 38-42). How does one prepare for Jesus' visit? Martha prepares one way. Mary another. In the family of God, within our own parish, we prepare for the coming of Jesus in the meal of the Eucharist. We bring the gifts of bread and wine to the altar, thank God for these gifts of creation, and offer ourselves as gift, as one family, to God.
