FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION Theme 'Receiving', it is you, the faith community, that welcomes these children to the table of the Lord as you once welcomed them into community through baptism. LOURDES A number of people from the parish are already in Lourdes with the 50th Diocesan Pilgrimage. Our community will be remembered in prayer at the Grotto. Please pray for all the sick who are on pilgrimage this week.

ASCENT The York Central Group meet on Wednesday next (28 May) 12.45 - 3pm in the Upper Room starting with a shared lunch. All welcome

MISSION APPEAL Sr Kevina will be making an Appeal next weekend on behalf of the Religious Sisters Missions Committee for England and Wales.

SPONSORED WALK Sunday 8 June at 1.30pm. When was the last time you walked around the City Walls? Why not spend some time on a summer Sunday afternoon enjoying high level views of York's many attractive buildings and gardens - and raise money for the Church refurbishment at the same time. Refreshments will be available in the Upper Room. All those completing the walk and returning their sponsorship monies by the end of June will be entered in a prize draw - lots of fun prizes, including a large tin of Quality Street.
