CELEBRATION OF PRIESTHOOD - Today (Sunday), 5.00pm at St Mary's Cathedral, Middlesbrough. Mgr Seamus Kilbane, who celebrated his Golden Jubilee on 10 June, will be preaching at this Mass. All very welcome.
MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION Olu Jatto will be commissioned as a Minister at our 11.00am Mass today and Margo Barry, Angela Breffit, Brian Carter and Joan Whitehead will be presented with the Faculty issued by Bishop Jobji.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION 2007 - A meeting for parents who feel that their children are ready to prepare for First Communion takes place on Thursday 13 July, 7.30pm in the Upper Room - entrance through the car park at side of Church.
PARISH FORUM - Tuesday 18 July, 7.30 - 9.00pm in the Upper Room. This change of day gives those who find Sunday afternoons inconvenient, an opportunity to participate. The Forum is a way of dialogue between priest and parishioners which is available to us three or four times a year. If you have an item for the Agenda please hand it in by Friday 14 July.
BECOMING A CATHOLIC If you are not already a member of the Catholic Church and would like to explore the possibility of becoming one, a meeting with me, Canon Michael, will take place in the Upper Room on Thursday 20 July at 7.30pm. If you know of anyone who is interested in becoming a Catholic please let them know about this meeting.
SPRINGBOARD - Sunday 9 July at Ampleforth, starting with Mass at midday. All the usual activities - five a side, outdoor informal games of football, tennis, cricket, barbeque and disco, ending at 6.00pm.
ASCENT - for people in their middle and later years, meets the last Wednesday of each month in the Upper Room after the 12.10pm Mass. Shared lunch followed by prayer and a sharing of the following Sunday's Gospel. Next meeting, Wednesday 28 June. All very welcome.
PETERS PENCE - a retiring collection will be taken this weekend.
IRISH NIGHT - Friday 7 July, 8.00pm at the Groves Club. Tickets £3 from St Wilfrid's Church or Margaret Walsh, 424053. Organised by Parishioners of St Aelred's for St Wilfrid's Building Fund.
PASTORAL AREA NEWS: You may have heard that Canon Pat Harney of St Joseph's Parish is retiring later in the year and will be residing in Lawrence Street, York. He is being replaced by Father Ross Thompson and Father Dominique Minskip will be Parish Priest of English Martyrs. Please keep them all in your prayers.
POSTGATE RALLY - Sunday 2 July at St Anne's, Ugthorpe. Mass 3.00pm.
CALLED TO TREK - a walk for vocations, Sunday 6 August to Saturday 12 August. We are all asked to pray especially for vocations during these days but if you would like to also take part in the walk, either for the week or just a day, please seethe notice in the porch for details.
