BAPTISM PREPARATION: If you have a child for Baptism our next course takes place on Saturdays 16, 23, 30 September and 14 October, 2.00pm - 3,00pm in the Upper Room. Please contact Canon Michael in early September to book a place.

PROCLAIMING GOD'S WORD: Our Wednesday evening meetings for Ministers of the Word will take a break until Wednesday 6 September. The Ministers here at St Wilfrid's usually come together on the Wednesday prior to their Sunday ministry, to pray, study and practise.

HOLY DAYS OF OBLIGATION: The Bishops of England and Wales have decided to transfer to Sunday those Holy Days of Obligation which are Solemnities of the Lord (other than Christmas Day). This means that the Epiphany, the Ascension and Corpus Christi will now be celebrated on Sunday. These changes take effect on First Sunday of Advent. The current practice is retained with regard to other Holy Days of Obligation.

ST WILFRID'S PARISH AUTUMN FAYRE to be held in the School on Sunday 15October l2midday-4pm. To make a success of the Fayre many people are needed to help organise stalls - cakes, home produce and groceries, plants books, toiletries, refreshments tombola, bouncy castle, face painting, lucky dip etc etc. Please put your name on the list in the porch if you can help in any way. Meeting for all who can help, Monday 4 September, 730pm.

EXPLORE THE CHALLENGE: RCIA has an important part to play in the creation of evangelising and sustainable parishes. Bishop John invites everyone to attend an Information Evening - whether you have no experience of RCIA or have been part of a successful group for many years - on Tuesday 26 September at St Aelred's Community Centre, 7.30pm - 9.00pm, refreshments from 7.00pm.

MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION are invited to come together on Thursday 28 September at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. Please note change of date.
