WORLD MISSION SUNDAY: All the Church for All the World.: Last Sunday we were asked to join all the Catholic communities around the world by offering our prayers and material help to our brothers and sisters in countries where the Church is new, young and poor - a retiring collection will be taken today.
BAPTISM: We welcome into our Community, Damian Daniel O'Connor who will be Baptised today. Congratulations to all the family.
CONFIRMATION PREPARATION: Our candidates meet again on Thursday 8 November at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. Please keep our young people in your prayers.
YOUTH SUNDAY: Calling all young people (14 - 25 years) to prepare the Liturgy for Youth Sunday. The meeting takes place in the Upper Room on Wednesday, 7 November.
MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST: A meeting for all ministers will take place on Thursday 29 November at 7.30pm in the Upper Room.
NOVEMBER - HOLY SOULS: This is the time of year when we remember, in a special way, our deceased family members and friends. If you would like to have your loved ones remembered in our Masses here during November, please take an envelope from the porch and return it to the Rectory or Sacristy as soon as possible. Throughout the month of November Mass will be offered daily for our dead.
MASS OF REMEMBRANCE - Friday 16 November at 12.10pm. You are invited to take part in this Mass for all your family and friends who have died. Candles will be available to bring to the altar in memory of your loved ones.
ADULT FORMATION TEAM: Jane Cooke and Father John Lumley will be here at St Wilfrid's on 17/18 November to talk to us at all Masses about their plans for the way ahead.
LITURGY OF THE WORD WITH CHILDREN: A meeting for all involved or who would like to be, takes place on Thursday 6 December, 7.30pm in the Upper Room.
ASCENT for people in their middle and later years - meets again on Wednesday 31 October, 12.45pm in the Upper Room. All welcome.
JOINT SOCIAL EVENING with St Joseph's parish on Friday 16 November. Tickets are available today at £2 each. A meeting for all who would like to help on the evening takes place on Thursday 1 November in the Upper Room after 12.10pm Mass. All very welcome.
CHRISTMAS DRAW - tickets will be available next weekend. If you could help by donating a prize please put your name on the list in the porch. All fundraising events for the next few months are to help in financing our two representatives going to Sydney next July - World Youth Day.

CHURCHES TOGETHER IN YORK: The winter meeting will take place on Thursday 22 November at 7.00pm at St George's Church. The speaker will be David Cross of CAFOD - the theme is Live Simply that others may simply live.
YORK HOSPITAL: Mass will be celebrated on Friday 2 November at 10.30am for the repose of the souls of all those who have died in the hospital in the last two years or so. Everyone welcome.
