10am - 1.00pm. Two priests will be available to hear Confessions

during these hours here at St Wilfrids. Please avail of this

opportunity to prepare for the coming of the Lord.

A KING IN KINGS SQUARE - the story of the Nativity, Monday

14 December, 12.30pm and 1.30pm in King's Square.

ADVENT LITERATURE - issues of Day by Day (£1), Walk with Me (£1) and Decembers Bible Alive £1.95 are now available from the Paper Stall along with Faith Alive (£1).

WE WELCOME Rohan Michael O'Shaughnessy who will be baptised into the Christian community today. Congratulations to all the family.

CONFIRMATION PREPARATION: Our next get-together with the candidates and catechists is on Thursday 10 December at 7.30pm in the Upper Room.

MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION: A meeting of all Ministers of Holy Communion will be held on Thursday 3 December at 7.30pm. It will begin with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.

LITURGY OF THE WORD WITH CHILDREN: A meeting for all involved in this ministry will take place on Wednesday next (2 December) at 7.30pm in the Upper Room.

STEPHEN DYSON TAYLOR: Stephen died recently and his funeral is on Friday 4 December

at 12.10pm. Stephen was a man of deep prayer and an inspiration to the many people who knew him. After his funeral Mass on Friday there will be refreshments in the Upper Room. If you could help by bringing some sandwiches etc it would be appreciated.

ST PAUL'S BOOKSHOP will have a stall in the church porch for the 11.00am Mass on Sundays 29th November and 6th December - lots of useful Advent and Christmas Books for adults and children.

RETIRING COLLECTION will be taken next weekend for the SVP Charities. The weekend of 19/20 December will be for flowers for the church at Christmas.

PARISH FORUM: The next meeting is on Sunday 13 December at 3.30pm in the Upper Room. Items for the agenda to be handed in to the Rectory by Friday 11 December.

ALL SAINTS SCHOOL - One-to-One Tuition Programme. Qualified teachers are required to tutor students for 10 hours over a ten we3ek period, 3.30pm - 4.30pm at the Nunnery Lane Site. Enquiries to Mrs Paul Strudwick on tel. 01904 545700.

CHRISTMAS DRAW - tickets are now available. Please take some home with you to buy or sell. If you could help by donating a prize please put your name on the list in the porch.

CHRISTMAS CARDS, diaries, calendars, etc are now available from the stall in the porch.

ST WILFRID'S PARISH CHRISTMAS PARTY - Saturday 12 December, 6.30pm to midnight at Melodies Park Celebration Centre, Wigginton Road. Tickets £5. Proceeds to the Filipino Flood Appeal.

ST WILFRID'S SCHOOL Christmas Fayre, Friday 4 December, 5.00pm -7.30pm.

'BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT' An evening of charismatic Worship with prayer, music, adoration and reconciliation, Saturday 12 December, 8.00pm, St Charles Church, Hull and Sunday 13 December, 7.30pm, Sacred Heart Church, Middlesbrough. See poster for further details.

A MASS TO CELEBRATE MARRIAGE AND FAMILY LIFE, Sunday 27 December. 5pm at the Cathedral, Middlesbrough. There will be an opportunity for married couples to renew their wedding vows and for everyone to reflect on the joys and challenges of family life. All welcome.
