RCIA - Our group next meets on Tuesday 8 April at 7.30pm in the Upper Room. For Sam, Lars, Stephen and Veronica this is the Period of Mystagogy. Responsibility for those newly initiated into our parish community rests not just with parish leaders or members of the RCIA team. It is the duty of every parishioner to reach out to them, to assure them that they are welcome at the Lord's table with us, and to help them adjust to their new status as full participants in the life of our Christian community. All of us are called to deepen our grasp of the paschal mystery, along with our new brothers and sisters, throughout the Easter season. Side by side with them at the Sunday liturgy, we have the opportunity to listen afresh to the gospel message during this season and allow our lives to be touched anew by the sacraments, particularly the Eucharist. The witness of their presence in our midst invites us to 2see with new eyes2 what the sacraments of Easter are all about.

FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION: Theme 'Remembering'. Jesus ate many meals with his friends, but this last meal before his death is a special one. We continue to partake in this same special meal today in the Eucharist as we celebrate and remember his life, his death and resurrection. By sharing this same meal of the Eucharist, we express and affirm our belief that the whole mystery of the risen Christ is present and active in the Mass as we gather, eat and drink as the people of God. Nourished by this meal, we go forth to show our love as Jesus did, to give our lives as he did- for others.
